The 1st Annual Florida Ice Cream Festival will be held at the Marchant Stadium in Lakeland from 10am to 7pm on Saturday, April 6, with family entertainment, activities, live music and acts, arts and crafts, and lots of ice cream. The featured event will be the “Brain Freeze” Ice Cream Eating Contest. National and local ice cream vendors will be on hand to offer samples of their best flavors and it only costs $2 for everyone over 5 years of age. The event is sponsored by Magnify Credit Union and proceeds will benefit the Magnify Life Foundation and the Detroit Tigers Foundation of Florida.
