Silver Springs to be a State Park

Silver Springs in Ocala has been a Florida landmark since the 1880s. Home of the famous Glass Bottom Boats, Silver Springs offers concerts, wildlife exhibits, botanical exhibits, rides and activities. With the advent of more modern attractions, attendance has waned and Silver Springs will become a state park by the end of this year. $4 million will be invested to upgrade the facility and make the transition. This is a project similar to the redevelopment of Weeki Wachee Springs as a state park several years ago. http://www.silversprings.com/
