Smithsonian Exhibit Coming to Polk Museum of Art

“In Vibrant Color: Vintage Celebrity Portraits from the Harry Warnecke Studio” is coming to the Polk Museum of Art October 27 and is scheduled to run through January 12, 2013. The exhibit, organized by the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, is the first Smithsonian exhibit to be presented by the Polk Museum of Art. Among the portraits are photos of Lucille Ball, Roy Rogers, Louis Armstrong, Ted Williams, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, and General George S. Patton. Warnecke was a longtime photographer for the New York Daily News. http://polkmuseumofart.org/.
