New Theme Park Attractions for 2012

There is always something new to attract our attention to central Florida’s theme parks and 2012 looks to be extra special as major overhauls and new features are being introduced.

“Iceploration” a 30-minute permanent ice show will open at Busch Gardens  on February 2 featuring figure skaters, live animals, puppets, and special music. http://seaworldparks.com/en/buschgardens-tampa

Legoland will open its water park in the summer of 2012 with six attractions featuring a wave pool, slides an interactive water playground, and lots more. http://florida.legoland.com/

SeaWorld has announced the opening Turtle Trek featuring two aquariums and a domed 3D theater and Freshwater Oasis, a water park with a rain forest theme. http://seaworldparks.com/seaworld-orlando

Universal Orlando will update “The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman” at Islands of Adventure and introduce “Despicable Me” a 3D ride based on the film. http://www.universalorlando.com/

Dinosaur World will finish its 12-acre expansion in Plant City including a 22,000-square foot museum and gift shop, additional parking, a dinosaur playground and new creations on the dinosaur walk. http://www.dinosaurworld.com/
