Do You Know What Today Is?

October 9 is Fire Prevention Day. The date is related to the Great Chicago Fire started by Mrs. O’Leary’s cow when the cow allegedly kicked over a lamp in the barn on October 8, 1871 and the fire continued for 27 hours. That event was a wake-up call highlighting the need for fire prevention programs.
