Two popular air shows will be within easy driving distances this fall. The Cocoa Beach Air Show on September 22-23 features the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team, the U.S. Marines V-22 Osprey Demo and the Black Diamond Jet Team, a civilian-owned demonstration team from Lakeland, Florida. The second show is October 13-14 over Daytona Beach. The Wings and Waves Air Show is sponsored by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and be highlighted by appearances by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the Black Diamond Jet Team, and the GEICO Skytypers Airshow Team. http://www.wingsandwaves.com/performers/
For those who don’t mind driving a bit further, there are the Sea & Sky Spectacular in Jacksonville Beach on October 19-21, Open House at the Pensacola Naval Air Station on November 2-3, Wings Over Homestead on November 3-4, and the Stuart Air Show on November 10-11.
